Seminars

The impact of transnational governance grows every year, examples are organizations such as EU, APEC, UN and WTO. The power to decide gradually moves from the national level to the transnational.

The seminars and democracy educator courses of IAED have the aim to contribute to the establishment of citizens participation, legitimacy and transparency of these new institutions. If possible the seminars involve participants from a variety of countries and cultures - to promote the exchange of ideas, and to establish common concepts of participation. All seminars relate to the understanding of the relationships between governance at local, state, continental and global levels.
