I am the goal of everything. Experience is the spiritual dimension. Materialism is our utmost goal in existence. How would the world look in ten years, when the material is replacing the soul?
Everyone has the right to 15 minutes of fame - one could also say that everyone have the right to be in the centre. Here extreme individualism reigns. We see our own self as the absolute centre for everything in the world. We permit ourselves to judge everything from our own preferences. The traditional values in this world are void, we only wish to advance our own fortune as the highest goal. Society as has naturally become more fragmented. In this society decisions are increasingly reflecting special interests. The political sphere is dominated by lobbying organisations instead of political parties. Many of the tasks so far which are been dealt with in public become privatised so as the citizens can obtain the largest possible freedom of choice. Public organisations are on the wane. Privatising became a mantra.
Traditions are weakened and so is the institution of family. The traditional family structure is under transformation. There number of single parents grow very fast. No one compromises his/her own goals in order to live together with a partner. We have many different views of the meaning of family, and which tasks shall be solved in and by the family. Some use family solidarity as a resource for the realisation of their own ideas and projects. Others see family as a liability. The labour market will be organised very flexibly. It is possible to have overtime or work at home using the Internet. The ideal is to be your own boss.
The educational system has been globalised. A lot of people get their education abroad and language skilles become even more important in High School. Private funding of education becomes prevalent.
Education has been very diversified, and the overall quality of education is very high. We have become masters of the pursuit of specific targets. Science is booming and great progress is made in fields like gene technology. More and more people gene technology will make it possible to create artificial life. Anything is allowed and mankind reaches great results. There are no ethical restraints in relation to cloning, cultivation of stem cells for medical purposes, etc.
We have become rootless, zapping individuals. Everyone is the architect of his/her own fate. We want to take responsibility of our own lives. We believe in our family, job and the right to diversity. We have developed an art of existentialism that exclusively emphasises that “you are what you do”.
Cultural life is strengthened as it is seen as an precondition for personal development. Psychology becomes very important as a tool for self-interpreation.
Temple: A large centre where you can attend lectures and participate in workshops on personal development and where you can develop your body in the fitness centre. You design your self and shape your body. We go through plastic surgery until we feel perfect. Everyone get their own unique perfume.
